Farmall 460 vs Farmall 504
Verdict: Farmall 460 vs Farmall 504
The Farmall 460 and the Farmall 504 are both tractors — here is how they stack up on the figures that matter. Farmall 460 leads on rated power with 49 hp against 46 hp. Farmall 504 is the lighter machine (2,463 kg vs 5,835 kg), which helps on soft ground and transport, while the heavier model carries more ballast for traction-limited draft work. The Torque Amplifier (TA) allows a clutchless shift-on-the-move underspeed for any gear. With the TA lever forward, the TA is disengaged and the transmission is in direct drive (DD) mode. To engage the TA, the lever should be pulled quickly and smoothly to the rear. The TA on the 460 will free-wheel, so it should be disengaged when going downhill or towing the tractor to start it.Reference
