The Torque Amplifier (TA) provides a hydraulically-actuted under-drive that may be shifted, on the move, with any range and speed selection in the main transmission. Using the TA does not require the clutch or stopping the tractor. With the lever in the forward position, the TA is disengaged and the transmission is in direct drive. To slow the tractor (increasing pulling power) the TA lever should be pulled smoothly and quickly to the rear, engaging the TA. To disengage the TA and return to direct-drive, the TA should be moved forward, with a slight pause at the center position of the lever.Reference
