The Case IH Magnum 250 is a row-crop institution in North America, part of a Magnum line that has anchored Case IH high-horsepower farming since 1987 and, in its AFS Connect generation (model years 2020-2024), brought a clean-sheet connected cab to the 250 hp class. It is powered by the FPT 8.7 L six-cylinder diesel rated at 250 engine hp with up to roughly 35 hp of power boost for PTO and transport demands, and buyers choose between the 19F/4R PowerDrive full powershift or the stepless CVXDrive (CVT) transmission. The AFS Connect platform pairs the AFS Pro 1200 touchscreen and AFS Vision Pro operating system with remote display viewing, cloud data transfer and over-the-air updates, while AccuTurn automated headland turning and an automotive-grade cab with MultiControl armrest round out the operator package. Hydraulics deliver high flow with a choice of 3 to 6 remote valves and a rear hitch lift capacity up to 19,900 lb, and top speed reaches about 25 mph (40 km/h), with 30 mph optional on CVXDrive. It is built for mixed-grain and row-crop operations that need a versatile, tech-forward workhorse for tillage, planting, grain-cart and PTO work.
