The Fendt 942 Vario is the top model of the 900 Vario series, unveiled at the beginning of July 2019. The new series — five models ranging from 296 to 415 hp — was completely redesigned and externally resembles the larger Fendt 1000: the new 900 is bigger than its predecessor but more compact than its big brother, gaining around 900 kg (to just under 11,800 kg) and 10 cm of wheelbase. Under the hood purrs a nine-litre MAN six-cylinder designed for Fendt, with a rated output of 415 hp, paired with Fendt’s VarioDrive (TA 300) stepless transmission that independently drives the front and rear axles for a “pull-in turn” effect that tightens the turning circle by up to ~10%. Built for large-acreage arable and heavy draft work, it combines high hydraulic output and lift capacity with the FendtONE operator environment and Fendt Connect telemetry.
